Research On Applying The Speech Control Technology In The Shipborne Navigation System

At present the operation of shipborne navigation system mainly depends on the control panel (trackball) and keyboard. Seafarers complete navigation operations by hand, they need to distract to ensure the accuracy of the operation, especially in the single-seafarer or berthing operation case,this would affect the safety of navigation. Speech as a kind of human-computer interaction, with its natural and convenient feature, has been widely used in the fields of vehicle navigation,intelligent electrical appliances,internet searching,etc.This paper explores a new way of interaction between seafarers and shipborne navigation system using speech recognition and speech control technology on the Android platform.By the analysis of two applied maturely ship navigation systems’control panel and toolbar、difficulties of achieving speech control function in the shipborne navigation system, thesis completes design of speech control function in the shipborne navigation system. This paper proposes key technologies to achieve speech control function: speech recognition technology, speech-basic operation and speech-information query interactive technology.This paper uses HCI Cloud SDK as speech recognition engine after comparision between the two development scheme and researches speech recognition algorithm based on the HCI Cloud SDK in depth and developes recorder widget,realizes local real-time identification of the isolated word recognition, providing the basis for controlling navigation system by speech,Studies two key realizing content of the speech-basic operation:speech control command collection and Android-based speech command handling mechanism, making the shipborne navigation system accurately response when using speech to do the setting operation. Designs and realizes the chart display module and port view module. Uses the split-shaft projection retrieval mechanism to speed up the the chart display and adopts indistinct query mechanism to solve the similar Chinese pronunciation of the port.Designs the chart database to support the two modules above,and realizes software system of speech control function.
