Nowadays, inductor plays a very important role in electronic and electrical field. And with theresistor, capacitor, it is known as the three basic elements. Especially in DCDC, UPS and othersimilar fields, it plays a key role. Therefore, measuring the inductance is particularly important. The bridge method is widespread used in current, but it has a large volume and high cost. Thispaper presents a novel inductance measurement method, and according to its principle, we deriveda new PWM signal generator. The PWM signal generator is widely used in the field of motor control, switching powersupply etc.. At present the main methods of generating PWM are digital method and analoguemethod. Digital method requires software to control, so its stability and flexibility are poor.Analogue method can directly online modulation of the PWM with analog signals, but thetraditional analogue method adopts triangle wave calculation method, circuit is relatively complex. In this paper we propose a new PWM signal generator based on the switched inductor. The circuitis simple, low cost. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. Analysis was conducted in1on the inductance measurement and PWM signal generator athome and abroad in the form and development.2. This paper describes the principle of measure inductance with switched inductor method.3. The principle of generate PWM with the switched inductor method.4. The design and implementation.5. The data analysis and processing.6. The paper summarized.Through designing and actualizing of the experimental circuit, processing and analyzing ofdata, we finally get the inductance measurement method is effective and the PWM signal generatormodel.
