Human depend on river for survival, and they use of river for irrigation, transportation, power generation, food supplement, to establish a brilliant human civilization. In modern Chinese rural area, the river still take such a important role. Along with the development and progress of society, human obtained the resources from the river immoderately without the reasonable protection of the river. The deforestation and pollution have caused the landscape and ecological of river been destructed. Human have been try to raise the height of the hard revetment to reduce the hazard of the river, but it had cut down the connection of the land ecosystem and the river ecosystem,at the same time it had reduced the quality of the landscape. In order to changing the situation, designer use the ecological principles to build the plant landscape of rural river, it will return the landscape and ecological benefit to the rural river and provide a symbiotic interaction space for humans, animals and plants in the rural area.This paper mainly study the plant landscape construction of rural river. It mainly includes the research of plant landscape planning and design.On the one hand, in the level of planning, Writer took the urban landscape as a comparison in order to summed up the features of the rural landscape and rural plant landscape, and summed up the the common rural plant species and its ecological habits on the basis of it; Plant landscape ecological planning focuses on the connection of ecology and landscape, the method of’points-lines-flat" act as a bridge between the landscape and ecological. On this basis, this thesis describes the general step of the river plants landscape planning; This thesis also introduce the conception, function and the utilization measures of Greenway. It will play a important role in connect the broken plaque and increase the exchange of species when the Greenway is been used in the construction of village river plant landscapeOn the other hand, in the level of design, Writer focus on the more careful research of plant landscape construction than planning. Summarized the special nature of the rural plants in the aspect of the growth scale, color, texture,origin, maintenance, practical and edible function when plant landscape design. Then undertaked a comprehensive rural river plant landscape design from the form design, color scheme, spatial composition, interspecific relationships and character design and other aspects.Finally, on the basis of the oretical studies, writer selected the section from GAOqiao to Lukou of Jinjing river as the object to completed the plant landscape construction. After the investigation of present situation of study object, the plants have been classified according to their function and ornamental characteristics, then getting the advantages and disadvantages of the status of the study area; According to the advantages and disadvantages of river area, writer completed the construction of plant landscape of river shore, wetlands, shelter and scenic forest, greenway, beaches and other areas.
