China has a vast territory with a large amount of watercourse. Bridge construction has become an important part of the road lines. Prestressed concrete (PC) continuous rigid frame bridge is always favored rely on its advantages, but its development has been hampered because of various diseases. So analyzing the causes and influence factors of diseases is particularly important to avoid appearing of the similar diseases or to take effective reinforcement measures. Researches that have done in this paper are as follows:Firstly, development background, history, characteristics and prospects of PC continuous rigid frame bridge are briefly introduced. The mechanism, calculation methods and application conditions of several important performance affecting factors (structure, shrinkage and creep, loss of prestress, temperature) are described in detail afterwards. Then, cracking, mid-span down-warping and other diseases are mentioned, in addition, cracks are classified by different principles. After that, a special inspection on Bei Pai Yong main bridge is commenced, and based on which, detailed inspection results are gained.Secondly, the original beam element model is built with MIDAS/CIVIL software. By calculating a variety of conditions, some researches on structural response with influence of shrinkage and creep, prestress loss, temperature and overload have done. And then, based on detect results and influence factors, a damaged state beam element model is built, which is most in line with the actual damage state.Considering the complexity of structure and force of0#block on38#pier, MIDAS/FEA software is used to build a partial solid element model, which is about26meters long. Latterly, calculated results of damaged state beam element model and partial solid element model are compared, and some conclusions are obtained.
