In recent years, with the development of the West China’s implementation of the construction project, highway, railway construction in mountain area is developing fast. To deal with our country western the complex terrain, bridge and tunnel is closely connected or abutment set inside the tunnel in many engineering. Research in our country for bridge and tunnel connection is not enough. In this paper, the research about bridge and tunnel connecting engineering is carried out combined with the high-speed railway. The passage is divided into three parts:Study on static excavation of bridge-tunnel sections; Study on characteristics of dynamic response under earthquake load; Study on the bridge and tunnel connection form. The first part mainly analyzes the effect on the Supporting structure and the stability of the tunnel caused by the excavation of the tunnel and foundation pit. The excavation of the foundation pit will cause the stress redistribution in the hole section of surrounding rock, the internal forces of the supporting structure will increase. The second part mainly analyzes the effect on the dynamic response of bridge-tunnel sections when the lining stiffness and foundation pit length is changed. The stress of the lining will increase when lining stiffness or foundation pit length increased. So the bridge-tunnel sections should avoid large stiffness and long bridge-tunnel sections. The third part mainly summarizes and compares the forms of the highway, railway tunnel connecting structure and Bridge-tunnel sections protection structure at present. The content can provide reference for engineering of bridge and tunnel connection.
