High speed sleeper train was born with the boom of the high speed train. Same as ordin ary high speed train, the design of high speed sleeper train focused on qualities like higher sp eed and lower weight. Thus, worse dynamics performance became more frequent with bump y railways. Remarkable changes on trains’ Dynamic performance will arise when travelling u nder windy situation. Stability of trains and comfortableness of passengers is indeed disrupte d.This study is to research trains dynamic performance under crosswind via add aerodyna mic force and moment of force on models. Methodologies applied in this study are as follow s:dynamic simulation and experiments; rigid-flexible coupling model with knowledge of ve hicle system dynamic theory. Detailed demonstration includes aspects listed below.(1)A finite element model of high-speed train car body is established with finite element soft ware ANSYS12.0. By real vehicle test and results comparison between calculating model an d test model, the accuracy of the model is proved indirectly. It has been showed that the finit e element model of the car body is basically in line with the vehicle structure design require ments.(2)A detailed description of the method of building rigid flexible coupled has been presented. Also, a multi-rigid body dynamic model has been built, which has taken both rigid dynamic model and rigid-flexible coupling model into consideration. Analysis has been made to figur e out the ranges of application of the two models.(3)Analysis has been made about the impact wind speed and train speed have the aerodynam ic loads.(4)To study the security of running high-speed trains under cross winds, a multi-body system dynamic model has been established with aerodynamic loads. To study the impact crosswin d has on train security. Various calculations have been carried out under different train speed and wind speed. For instance, coefficient of the derailment, rate of wheel load reduction, late ral force of the wheel axle and vertical force of wheel-track.
