Magnesium alloy is extremely development prospects of material in new century, magnesium wheels with certain characteristics. Therefore, the Ministry of science and technology in2010, issued by the national science and technology plan to support key projects which is forming of magnesium alloys and application of key technology development project, has been the production of magnesium alloy die-casting technology as a technical breakthrough and industrialization. At present our country, Magnesium alloy wheel of electric bicycle with enterprises begin to small batch production of magnesium alloy wheel by die casting process, but there are still some problems.lt is difficult to ensure the quality of the original hub, higher rate, discovers in practice, and the pressure casting process and parameter selection is caused by a defective one of the principal causes, so this paper attempts to solve the parameter selection by orthogonal test a problem.Magnesium alloy wheel of electric bicycle is the most important one of the key parts and components, with the front wheel of magnesium alloy with casting production process as the object, optimization of the pressure casting process parameters, and the magnesium alloy wheel test plan in detail. Based on the orthogonal test method (four factors and three levels) to the actual production process was optimized, the extraction of four key parameters of die casting process, and test. The experimental results show that:(1) injection pressure becomes greater, casting surface defect tends to decrease, while the discovery of the flying edge too large phenomenon.(2) the punch velocity becomes larger, the filling time is decreased, the hub surface smoothness high raise, in the appropriate range, punch velocity should be higher, can reduce the surface defects such as mark defect, while the internal defects such as air bubbles with the punch velocity increases, increasing the probability.(3) increase of the pouring temperature, casting cavity filling time is basically stable, hole, deformation and other defects tendency there is a rising trend, the pouring temperature is too low, less casting, cold insulation defects also increased tendency. (4) the die temperature, is conducive to the filling, the mechanical properties are improved, the mold temperature is set too high, will reduce the alloy melting liquid cooling rate, internal defects, such as holes etc..(5) the integrated optimization of process parameters of injection pressure:105Mpa,6m/s punch velocity, pouring temperature is700℃, the mold temperature is285℃, conducive to the production.This paper is from the research of optimum pressure casting process parameters related question angle, try to solve the problems of pressure casting. Study on magnesium alloy electric bicycle front wheel by pressure casting technology, explores the hub filling law, by using the orthogonal experiment method, optimization of magnesium wheel pressure casting process parameters, and the trial production, and the product quality reasons, the results showed that:using the orthogonal test optimization of experimental parameters to enhance the vehicle front wheel hub casting a quality, thus combines magnesium alloy and casting machine, reduces the original rate, stable production quality, for the enterprise brought real benefits.
