Early warning detection technology for the pipeline leak is a kind of very importanttechnology in closely related to the national economy. Nowadays the main reason for most ofthe accidents of the pipeline leak is that the lawbreakers drill to steal petroleum, and alsosome are caused by the mistakes of machine operation. So early warning detection technologyto protect the pipeline from destroy caused by drilling is the key technology that need to bedone in pipeline transport in our country. The research of early warning technology for thepipeline leak is very important for the safety of pipeline. The paper describes the development in the world of the natural pipeline leak detection,as well as the future trend of development firstly. Comprehensive comparison of various leakdetection methods, proposed based on blind source separation and particle swarmoptimization of natural pipeline leak detection method. This paper studies the maximum entropy algorithm. Through the theory and the practicethat using soft threshold function and maximum entropy algorithm makes on acoustic sensorand the negative pressure wave sensor denoising effect is more ideal, it can be used as thenext step input parameter of blind source separation. In order to improve particle swarm algorithm for blind source separation applied topipeline leak detection, at first, embedded the algorithm in MATLAB software, and then usingthe collected data simulation and analysis the data, according to the analysis based onseparation of signal characteristic values,we can found the hammering, drilling and cleareridentification of leakage signal, confirming the feasibility and effectiveness of this method. Ithas improved the accuracy of pipeline leak detection.
