Beam-column element is a wider use and more mature element form in recent years, and fiber model is also a hot research for many scholars from different countries, the combination of beam-column element with fiber model solve a lot of practical engi-neering problems, and obtained a favorable effect. Steel reinforced concrete structure is an important architectural structure.Beacause of its high carrying capacity, good fire resistance and durability, excellent seismic performance, significantly economic benefit, it is more and more used in high-rise building structures in recent years. This paper builds a steel reinforced concrete beam-column element theory based on fiber model, which considers the bond slip between steel and concrete, and verifies the validity of the element form.Steel reinforced concrete structure is a structure form, which mainly equipped with steel reinforced and also equipped with a certain constructional reinforcement and stressed steel bar. Its main components are a steel reinforced concrete beam and column, therefore, steel reinforced concrete column is a key component of the struc-ture and is a very important vertical load-bearing component, so it is a indispensable force unit. Column mechanical behavior is very complex, which often under combined action of pressure, bending, and shear force, therefore, making further research to the mechanical behavior of steel reinforced concrete column is far-reaching effect for the development of steel reinforced concrete structure. This paper briefly introduce some scholar’s relevant achievements of beam-column element research at home and abroad, described the nonlinear finite element analysis theory in detail, while also presented the beam-column element theory based on the finite element flexibility method. This article attempts to analysis steel reinforced concrete structure with steel reinforced concrete beam-column element theory based on fiber model, and derived steel reinforced beam-column element model which considered the bond slip between steel reinforced and concrete. Then, using open source software OpenSEES makes secondary development to nonlinear beam-column element, and obtained steel reinforced concrete beam-column element based on fiber model. Finally, comparative analysis are made to a steel reinforced concrete column using OpenSEES and large-scale commercial software ABAQUS.The results show that the steel reinforced concrete beam-column element theory based on fiber model performed well on simulating the mechanical behaviors of the component in plastic stage. Although there are many problems in the model, but it has laid a theoretical foundation for the development of steel reinforced concrete beam-column element theory.
