In the arid desert areas, Caragama korshinskill is a typical desert natural plant,and it is also the preferred species of the sand-fixation afforestation which plays animportant role in the ecological construction. During this research, we took thenatural and artificial Caragama korshinskill of the midstream Shi yang River which islocated in the typical arid region as the research object. Through the investigation onpopulation distribution the Caragama korshinskill’s spatial distribution pattern,quantity structure and characteristic among the three different regions were analyzed,meanwhile the density,coverage and its individual size were also studied. The resultsshowed: in the different regions of the downstream Shi Yang River,natural andartificial Caragamakorshinskill population spatial distribution are all the congregating distribution types,but the aggregated degree are different in some degree. Thedifference between the two natural Caragama korshinskill population’s density issmall and are less than the artificial population’s; The coverage of Zhazigou artificialpopulation is about two or three times than the two natural population,and grounddiameter characteristics showed there is little difference among the three regions; butthe difference of the density,coverage and ground diameter are all not very obviousthough analysis of variance,and ground diameter characteristics showed there iscertain difference among the three regions,but the difference is not very obviousthough analysis of variance. The new branches length of Haoaobao is obviously morethan the other two Caragama korshinskill population,but the number of branches isopposite exactly. The population structure size was surveyed and it showed that thetwo natural forests are in the growth stage and have development potential,whileZhazigou plantation temporarily unable to determine.The growth of vegetation depends on water, soil moisture is one of importantsource for plants absorbing. The analysis and comparison for the Soil moisture of thethree areas, it is known that: The Soil moisture content of Zhazigou artificialCaragama korshinskill forest is higher than Alagu natural Caragama korshinskillforest. Hongaobao natural Caragama korshinskill forest’s Soil moisture is smallest and the difference is significant. The surface-soil moisture content is more different.Zhazigou artificial Caragama korshinskill forest is two times than Alagu naturalCaragama korshinskill forest, when the surface-soil moisture content is quarter thanZhazigou artificial Caragama korshinskill forest. It changes smaller with depthIncrease in Zhazigou artificial Caragama korshinskill forest and Alagu naturalCaragama korshinskill forest, even water content has little increase, while the soilmoisture content is reduce gradually with the depth increase.Studying the soil chemical nature of Caragama korshinskill’s spatial growthamong the three different regions, we collected the soil of0-100cm respectively andanalysed soil pH, soil electrical conductivity, soil available potassiumat,soil availablephosphorus, soil total nitrogen and soil organic matter. The Results indicated that: thesoil chemical nature of the three regions showed varying degrees of fluctuationchanges at depth of0~100cm, soil total nitrogen,soil organic matter, soil availablepotassiumat,soil available phosphorus, soil pH and soil electrical conductivity allhave some differences. Soil total nitrogen, soil organic matter and soil availablepotassiumat of Zhazigou are significantly greater than the Hongaobao and Alagunatural Caragama korshinskill forests.The content of Hongaobao is the smallest. Onthe contrary, the content of the soil available phosphorus and Hongaobao naturalforest are largest and Zhazigou artificial Caragama forest is smallest. It showed thatHongaobao can provide enough potassium to meet plant growth needs. The differentsbetween the soil pH and soil electrical conductivity is not obvious.The comparison and analysis of Surface-soil showed that: there are certaininsignificant differences between Zhazigou artificial Caragama korshinskill forest andthe two natural Caragama korshinskill forests. There is significant difference of thesoil organic matter among the three regions. Zhazigou artificial Caragama forest is2.3times and1.5times more than Hongaobao and Alagu natural forest respectively.And available content phosphorus instead, the content of the soil available phosphorusof Hongaobao natural forest is two times more than Zhazigou artificial Caragamakorshinskill forest,and Alagu natural forest is1.37times more than Zhazigou artificial Caragama korshinskill forest. Overall, the soil chemical nature of Zhazigou artificialCaragama forest is better than the two natural Caragama korshinskill forest andHongaobao natural Caragama korshinskill forest is worst. But individual chemicalelement such as rapidly-available potassium content of Hongaobao natural forest issuperior than other two areas to provide enough nutrient sources for Caragamakorshinskill’s growth.
