At present, the rational matching and energy saving of the machine is the key research project. Reasonable choice of engine for the pump is important for pump’s performance optimization and energy saving. Beijing Forestry University developed the BJL series low-flow high-lift forest fire extinguishing pump. However, the research on the aspect of the dynamic matching is still blank. Therefore it is significant to research on dynamic matching optimization of BJL series forest fire extinguishing pump.According to BJL5C three-level forest fire extinguishing pump and matched single-cylinder four-stroke gasoline engine, this paper set up the open pool pump performance test system, after repeated experiments to verify its stability, and complete BJL5C performance test, confirm its efficient area. Then using Simulink software, based on the engine torque and fuel consumption mathematical model, built the simulation engine model, and use bench test to verify the feasibility of the model. Finally further study the simulation results of the engine and test results of the pump. The result shows that, as for BJL5C forest fire extinguishing pump, reserve power of the matched single-cylinder four-stroke gasoline engine is not enough, which fail to guarantee them work on the best conditions for long time. Then obtain the best matching data and put forward the optimal engine scheme. The study has directive function for the dynamic matching of BJL series forest fire extinguishing pump, which will provides reference basis for the improvement and industrialization of the follow-up pump unit’s.
