The β-adrenoceptor agonists were usually abused in animal feed asthe growth promoters,such as Clenbuterol and Ractopamine. In recentyears,the β-adrenoceptor agonists have been prohibited by governmentdepartments forcibly,so illegal farmers began to use other novel β-adrenoceptor agonists in order to eacape from being detected. Therefore,to establish a more comprehensive detection method is still a long-termand difficult task for researchers.Many approaches have been applied on β-adrenoceptor agonistsdetecting, including: ELISA, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and so on.ELISA is often used to be a screening method, and LC-MS/MS andGC-MS technique have been recommended for confirmation.In this paper, three β-adrenoceptor agonists were selected to study byGC-MS,they are Clenbuterol、Trantinterol and Phenylethanolamine A.Clenbuterol is a kind of familiar forbidden additive,Trantinterol has thestructural similarity with Clenbuterol,which is a novel β-adrenoceptoragonist. Our group has published some papers on trantinterol usingHPLC-MS. Phenylethanolamine A was found in feed for the first time in China in2011. It has been forbidden to be used in animal feed ordrinking water by Ministry of Agraculture. To our knowledge, reports ondetermination of trantinterol or phenylethanolamine A in feed using gaschromatography-mass spectrometry are relatively scarce.From the second to the fourth chapters, we focused on elaboratingthe GC-MS quantitative analysis method for three β-adrenoceptoragonists, respectively. As a result, we establish asimultaneousdetermination of clenbuterol、trantinterol and phenylethanolamine A,andit wasaccomplished in the feed samples of National Winter Games. Forthe feed matrix, sodium acetate buffer solutions with pH of3.6and4.8were investigated as extraction solvent. In addition, two kinds of solidphase extraction cartridges (SCX and MCX) were studied. Sodiumacetate buffer solution of pH3.6and MCX were selected. Add thestandard into the feed matrix with low-, middle-and high-concentrations,obtained recoveris meet the testing requirements of β-agonist in feedsamples. Finally, clenbuterol, trantinterol and phenylethanolamine A werenot found in the feed samples of National Winter Games.
