Isolation And Identification Of Riemerella Anatipestifer From Weifang Shandong Province And Analysis Of Drug Resistance

The riemerella anatipestifer (RA) infection is infectious, acute or chronic, septic disease,which mainly aggrieves home duck, wild duck, goose, Turkey, pheasants and other wild birds.It is also named as New ducks syndrome, Nuekseptieemia, Anatipestifer syndrome, Infectiousserositis, Pasteurella anatipestifer and so on. The characteristic lesions of the disease are afibrinous pericarditis attenuated vaccine, inactivated vaccine, conjunctivitis, arthritis,meningitis and so on, that is similar to E.coli infection symptoms. The RA infection is themain harm to the infectious raise ducks industry. Vaccine to prevent and antibiotic treatmentare the main methods of prevention and treatment the disease. Therefore, through theseparation, identifying the serum type of drug and test to choose appropriate sensitive drug allbecome the necessary link to guide clinical rational drug prevention.In this research，some strans of RA were isolated from liver and heart samples of sickducks from Weifang of Shandong province. These isolates were identified by typical colonymorphology and colony staining, and biochemical tests. Riemerella anatipestifer (RA) areshort rhabditiform Gram-negative bacteria Riemerella anatipestifer (RA) are shortrhabditiform bacteria with Hyperchromatic poles by Wright. It only reacted with catalase andoxidase. PCR rapid detection with the specific primers was used for further identification ofthe3isolates. They are named respectively for WF1, WF2and WF3. Serotypes of3isolateswere identified by slide agglutination test and WF1, WF3of RA1type, WF2of RA2. Duckswere challenged by the isolates for animals test. The dead duck showed Pericarditis, airbagsinflammation, liver enlargement and surface with a layer of film-like fibrin exudate. Allpathological changes were consistent with the clinical manifestations of RA infection.The drug-sensitivity test showed that: The Weifang region of drug tolerance wasextremely serious, and their tolerance for aminoglycoside, tetracycline kind, sulfa andquinolone was extremely strong. Only a few special strains showed good resistance.Therefore， drug-sensitivity test can guide clinical drug use accurately.
