It was attempted to reveal nutrients and their chemical stoichiometry characteristics of Stipa klemenzii community and Stipa glareosa community by researching nutrients and their chemical stoichiometry ratio of two stipa communities in Inner Mongolia desert steppe, and a comparative study of nutrients and their chemical stoichiometry ratio of two stipa communities in Inner Mongolia desert steppe(the same stipa community in different region and the different stipa community in same region), thus contributes to the desert grassland ecological stoichiometry theory.Main results are summarized as follows:1. There is a significant difference of total aboveground biomass in different regions of the same month in Stipa klemenzii community, such as, the total aboveground biomass of Sonid Right Banner Stipa klemenzii community was significantly more than that of the Erlian Stipa klemenzii community; With the same month in the region, the total biomass of Stipa klemenzii community is significantly more than the total biomass of Stipa glareosa community. 2. In the soil range0-30cm, below-ground biomass of two stipa communities have shown decreasing trend with soil depth increasing; In the same layer, below-ground biomass of Stipa glareosa community is significantly lower than the Stipa klemenzii community.3. In addition to the plant roots, the nutrients content of plants and soil in Stipa klemenzii community are higher than that of Stipa glareosa community.4. The differences of total nitrogen content of plant roots in the Stipa klemenzii community and the Stipa glareosa community are not obvious, but the phosphorus content of plant roots in Stipa glareosa community is higher than that of Stipa klemenzii communities; The N:P of roots in Stipa glareosa community is lower than that of the Stipa klemenzii community.5. In addition to the soil, the nutrient stoichiometric ratio of plants and roots in Stipa klemenzii community are higher than that of Stipa glareosa community.6. The differences of N:P of soil in the Stipa klemenzii community and the Stipa glareosa community are not obvious, but the C:N and C:P of soil in Stipa klemenzii community are higher than that of Stipa glareosa communities;...
