Fagopyrum Tataricum(Linn)Gaench belong to dicotyledons polygonaceae Fagupyrumesculentum plant.Buckwheat contais high biological value protein, mineral, vitamin and so on. Flavanoid contains many biolgical functions, such as anticancer, eliminte free radical.Little D-CI and lots of D-CI derivate-Fagopyritol were investigated. D-CI is a generation insuline acceptor which can promote insulun function.both of them can degrade blood sugar, degrade blood fat.ameliorate II type diabetic symptom. In this study, the total flavonoids were extracted from tatary buckwheat seeds by Soxhlet extraction method, the optimum process parameter was investigated, tatary extracts with flavonoids was obtained from plant and tatary extract with D-CI was obtained from buckwheat bran.the influence of tartary buckwheat extracts on blood sugar of hyperglycemia rat caused by tetraoxygen pyrimidine is observed. In order to optimize the process, the buckwheat sample was investigated. At first, factors as density of solvent, the ratio of material and solvent, the extract time were tested,.Based on the single factor experiment, orthogonal experiment was accomplisher, the results indicate that the best combination is A2B3C3representing of60%alcohol,2hour,solid-liquid ratio of1:10,extracting twice. The extraction rate of flavonoid under the conditions was9%.The contents of total flavonoids in tartary buckwheat falvonoids powder is40%,and the content of D-CI in buckwheat bran extracts is 10%, The hypoglycemic effects were investigated in alloxan-induced diabetic mice after oral administration of buckwheat powder with different dosage (high doses groups440mg/kg;middle doses groups220mg/kg, and low doses groups110mg/kg)for21days.Result:the high dosage of buckwheat extracts can obviously reduce the blood sugar, the extracts with relatively high content was more effectively than others.
