As one of the three major human food crop, the yield and quality of rice is directly related to food security and healthy diet for human. In China, with the improvement of cultivation technology and multiple cropping index, Pests and diseases is becoming an important factor in limiting rice production. Among the pests and diseases, Chilo suppressatis, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis and Sesamia inferens become the most serious rice killer. In the long-term farming, although rice pest control technology system is gradually established, by using reasonable and adjust farming practices, rational fertilization, physical trapping and pesticides, pest and disease control achieved remarkable results. However, pest resistance is gradually formation, insecticidal difficulty increases. Thus, the development and use of novel agents would play a decisive role for existing pests and diseases. Daoteng, as a new type of mixed pesticide formulation, can achieve the purpose of prevent and kill pests by multiple mechanism. Results of the comparative test showed that Chilo suppressatis, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis and Sesamia inferens could be effective prevented and treated by Daoteng. Daoteng could be used to prevent Chilo suppressatis in different areas. On one hand, its function for killing Chilo suppressatis and preventing rice Withered heart disease was highly stronger than other for-test pesticides, and its efficacy could be lasting for a long-term. On the other hand, obvious dose effect was existed in the function of controlling Chilo suppressatis, which was related to geographical differences. In this study, dose at30-40mg per mu were suitable for killing pests and protecting normal growth of rice. Daoteng was apparent effect in preventing Cnaphalocrocis medinalis, in the function of available prevention, controlling insect effects and efficacy of persistence, Daoteng were significantly higher than some of the routine control of pharmaceutical. At the same time, Daoteng has a good leaf protection effect, which was much excellent that others, this suggested that it could protect the growth of rice well. Furthermore, dose effect was also performed at preventing Cnaphalocrocis medinalis. For preventing Sesamia inferens, such results were detected. Overall, Daoteng did not only kill pests but also protect growth of rice well, which indicating that Daoteng is a new pharmaceutical for protecting rice harvest and increasing yields.
