The study based on the large amount of data of high density and soil carbon distribution thatgot on the south Songnen Plain multipurpose regional geochemical survey in Heilongjiangprovince, uses the concept of " units content of soil carbon " to accurately calculate soil carbonstorage on81500Km2South Songnen Plain, and provides new way for domestic accuratecalculation of soil carbon storage and estimating soil carbon library. According to the " unitscontent of soil carbon " to measure and calculate soil carbon storage, on different soil types, landuse, ecosystem, landforms and soil parent material, soil carbon reserves of Songnen Plain werescientific, accurate estimation.The results show that soil carbon storage distribution is uneven in the Songnen Plain. Soilcarbon reserves about26.6431tons on depth range from0to1.8meters on south Songnen plain,unit area total carbon reserves of32125tons of per km2, soil organic carbon reserves of16.7629tons on depth range from0to1.8meters in measuring area, organic carbon reserves of20212tonsper km2of per unit area. The soil organic carbon reserves from low to high in each ecosystem asfollows: the grassland ecological system, city ecosystem, farmland ecosystem, forest ecosystem,wetland ecology system; Soil organic carbon unit reserves range from low to high as follows fordifferent land use type: grassland, construction land, cultivated land, forest land, unused land;organic carbon unit reserve on different types of soil was ranked from high to low as follows:swamp soil, rocky soil, dark brown, albic soil, paddy soil, black soil, soil, meadow soil, new soil,chestnut soil, alkaline, saline soil, aeolian sandy soil, peat soil; Surface soil organic carbon contentof per unit area on different geomorphic units rank from high to low as follows: eastern mountain,west mountain, the high plains, river valley and plain, pediment platform and wind-erosion sandyland; Organic carbon content of per unit area on different soil parent materials range from0to1.8meters on Songnen plain rank from high to low are carbonate rocks, granite, acidic volcano rock,gravel, lacustrine deposits, intermediate and mastic volcanic rock, alluvial and proluvial deposits,floodplain deposits, alluvium, alluvial outwash deposits and aeolian deposit.The soil in Songnen Plain is a large carbon storage repository, especially in soil organiccarbon reserves per unit area, far higher than other domestic provinces and regions, which is theimportant feature of Songnen Plain fertile soil. However, through the second soil survey datastudied in1980s, found the surface soil organic carbon totally reduced by109.3million tons in theSongnen Plain in the past twenty years, soil organic carbon decreased by the rate of25.53%. Based on the geochemical, spatial distribution and vertical distribution characteristics of soilorganic carbon of surface and deep soil on Songnen plain, and further discusses that the climaticfactors and soil properties are important factors affecting soil organic carbon content. The paperstudies the characteristics and reasons of carbon stock that changes from areas and times on thesouth Songnen plain, at the same time, evaluates regional climate effects related to carbon stockchanges.
