Investigation Of The Reproduce Rule And The Prevention Technique Of Tobacco Warehouse Pest At Zhaotong Cigarette Factory Of Hongta Group

Tobacco leaf is the basic material of cigarette industry. Tobacco warehouse pest seriously influenced the quality and the grade of tobacco. Furthermore, the quality of cigarette product and the cigarette brands will be harmed by the pest. Investigation of its reproduce rule and the control technique are of great significance. Zhaotong cigarette factory of Hongta group as an example was selected for the investigation of the reproduce rule and the prevention technique of tobacco warehouse pest. The result of the study is as follow:1. Based on the results of tobacco warehouse investigation and pest sex pheromone monitoring, cacac moth was defined as the dominant tobacco warehouse pest.2. Reproduce rules of cacac moth at Zhaotong cigarette factory was defined as follow: Cacac moth has three generations of reproduce in one year. The fastigiums of eclosion in one year happened at Mid-May, early July and early October. The hibernation pest is the larva of the third generation.3. Prevention method of cacac moth was defined as follow:Pirimiphos-methyl bromine hydrogen permethrin, and chlorpyrifos are good pesticide for adult moth. These pesticides can be used interchangeably.4. Two kinds of pesticide spray methods, the ultra-low volume spray and the spray with smoke machine was compared. The result shows that the method of ultra-low volume spray can only kill the moth which is outside of the tobacco stack. The method of spray with smoke machine can kill the moth inside and outside of the tobacco stack. The latter was selected as a better method.5.
