Hubei is a big producing province of sand pear. Both the area and the output ranked the forefrontin Southern pear producing provinces. However, there are many problems in the pear industry, such asmiscellaneous cultivars, The edge is not outstanding of the major cultivars, Maturation concentration,The obvious contradiction between production and marketing, Cultivars structure is not reasonable, etc,These limit the sand pear industry development in Hubei. In the study, the major cultivars of sand pearcultivated in Hubei province were investigated by survey analysis and comprehensive evaluation, whichprovides theoretical basis and Basis for decision making for the sustainable development of sand pear inHubei.In the study,17cultivars were chose as test materials. Their phenological period, growthcharacteristics, high and Stable yield, disease resistance, exterior quality, inner quality and storabilitywere researched and analysized. The results are as follows:1. The phenological period analysis results show that among17cultivars, the early riping ones are:Eli1, Eli2, Huali2, Jinshui2, Yulv, Xizilv and Cuiguan; middle late riping ones are: Yuanhuang,Xueqing, Huanghua, Annong1, Hosui, Whangkeumbase and Huangguan; middle-late ones are: Jinshui1, Huali1and Syonan..2.6years old plant yield survey results show that: under the medium fertility, cultivation andmanagement condition, Huangguan, Wonhwang, Cuiguan, Eli1, Jinshui1and Yulv produced high yield,Eli2, Huali1, Xueqing produced medium yield, Whangkeumbase, Syonan, Feng Shui producedrelatively low yield.3. Exterior and inner quality analysis shows that Huangguan, Cuiguan, Eli2, Wonhwang are best,Xueqing, Yulv, Huali2, Annong1, Eli1, Xizilv, Syonan are better, Jinshui2, Huali1, Hosui is medium,Whangkeumbase, Huanghua, and Jinshui1is worst.4. Disease resistance test against3common diseases of sand pear revealed that Annong1,Huangguan, Yulv, Wonhwang, Huali2and Eli1are high resistance, Jinshui2, Huali,Cuiguan, Xueqing,and Huanghua are middle resistance, Eli2, Syonan, Jinshui1, Xizilv and Hosui are worse.5. Storability result shows that Wonhwang, Huangguan, Huali1, Xueqing, Yulv are best,Annong1,Whangkeumbase, Eli1are better, Eli2, Huanghua, Huali2, Xizilv are worst.6. Based on all the analysis results of the considered17cultivars including morphologicalcharacteristics and biological traits of the sprouting time, growth characteristics, high yield stability,disease resistance, fruit appearance quality, inherent quality and storage period of time, with marketinginvestigation, Huangguan, Wonhwang, Cuiguan, Yulv, Eli1are outstanding and suitable forpopularization in Hubei;Annong1, Eli2, Xueqing, Huali1, Jinshui1,Jinshui2are sub-suitable;Huali2, Syonan, Xizilv, Huanghua, Whangkeumbase, Hosui are not suitable.
