The biomass of vegetation and storage of carbon is an important part of theglobal carbon cycle study. Biomass refers to the amount of dry matter accumulated inthe organisnms in a certain time and certain space. The forest is an important part ofthe global ecological system and the forest biomass is the carrier of forest carbonstorage, the plantation biomass directly reflects the amount of forest storage and fromwhich we can estimate the carbon storage.Estimating the forest biomass accuratelyhas significance of science for exploring the global climate change and the storage ofcarbon. This paper illustrates the pinus tabulaeformis plantation of Guangyuan cityChaotian district, establishes regression model of single-tree biomass by5kinds ofregression model including log-linear regression model, exponential model, linearregression model, the power regression model and the binomial regression model, andestimates their biomass and storage of carbon by sichuan volume formula, conversionfactor method of continuous function, biomass and carbon conversion coefficientmethod.Though principal components analysis and mono factor analysis of varianceand hierarchical clustering analysis method, this paper compares and analyses thebiomass of pinus tabulaeformis plantation, and discusses the spatial distributionpattern of the storage of carbon in this area, and provides an important reference toestimate the role of pinus tabulaeformis plantation in the Sichuan carbon cycle andcarbon balance. The conclusion are as follows:(1) pinus tabulaeformis biomass(w) is obviously connected to the diameter(D)and height(H).we takes the Individual biomas(sW)as the dependent variable and D2Has the combined variable to fit a regression model by5kinds of mathematicalmodels, and to find that the equation W=16.232+0.0323(D2H)+10-(6D2H)2fit by thequadratic polynominal is the most optimal. It is statistically significant, and it is ideal and applicable for Predicting the biomass of pinus tabulaeformis.(2) Though principal components analysis and mono factor analysis ofvariance,we find that in Chaotian mountain area, the slope, thickness and type of soilhave a significant effect on pinus tabulaeformis biomass, while the exposure andaltitude affect the biomass to a certain extent. However, slope position does not muchaffect the increase of pinus tabulaeformis biomass; They are: pinustabulaeformis ofthis districtgrow well in low mountain regions by elevations between700meter and1100meter above sea level, the biomass decrees as elevation increases; flat land, gentle slope and slope are better for the growth of pinustabulaeformis;pinustabulaeformis of this district are distributed in shady slope and half shadyslope;there are no significant differences between the pinustabulaeformis biomass indifferent slope positions. The thickness of soil is positively correlated withpinustabulaeformis biomass, thick clay layers above50cm is particularly suitable foraccumulation of pinustabulaeformis, while poor soil layer with worse fertile is notgood for accumulation of pinustabulaeformis. The mountain yellow brown soil withhigher content of humus which is especially beneficial for the growth ofpinustabulaeformis, and yellow brown soil is less good.(3)through hierarchical clustering analysis method,we can find that pinustabulaeformis should be planted in mountain regions by elevations between700meterand1100meter above sea level, on the north or northeast shady slope, and mountainyellow soil is be best planting soil, the soil layer should be above50cm. In such anenvironment factor, pinus tabulaeformis would grow well, and it’s better foraccumulation of biomass. Slope, thickness of soil and type of soil are main factorswhich effect pinus tabulaeformis biomass, as a result of that, in order to choose asuitable area for planting, it will be better to consider about slope, type of soil andthickness of soil of afforestation land first during the process of planting in thisdisctric.(4) the spatially distribution shows that pinus tabulaeformis biomass spread inZengjia town, Linxi village, Lijia village, Pingxi village and Lianghekouvillage.Among the five distributions, pinus tabulaeformis plantations are mostconcentrated in Zengjia town and it has the most accumulation of pinus tabulaeformisbiomass and carbon storage.
