Biological feedback is a new technology to prevent and cure hypertension inmedical community. The main method is to present patients’ physiologicalcharacteristics with virtual scenes to themselves. Facing these virtual scenes driven bytheir physiological characteristics, patients try to adjust themselves to influence thevirtual scenes and transform it to target condition, and finally achieve the aim oftreatment.This thesis is based on project-"application of3D virtualization technology inbiofeedback for curing hypertension in early stage" which is boosted by Sun Yat-senUniversity. This project is finished by students and teachers from software school andmedical school. This thesis is mainly about how to apply VR technology intobiofeedback treatment, which makes patients face a “real” scene, and enhancetreatment effect. This thesis will explain how to construct virtual3D scene andprototype of the system. There is a requirement here: virtual scenes will change alongwith the change of patients’ physiological characteristics. So in this thesis, the mainscene is water waves, the water wave will change along with the change of patients’physiological characteristics(for instance, when we get higher blood pressure, thewaves’ fluctuation aggravates, when we get lower blood pressure, the waves’fluctuation eases). Prototype of the system is mainly about to construct thetreatment system for patients as well as the system for doctors which can set parameters of the system and get real time data from the system through internet.This thesis is a exploration in both software engineering and medical domain.The main purpose is to aid therapy with computer technology. This thesis tries toconstruct the prototype system, and to establish the foundation of this kind ofresearch.
