Objective To compare the short-term ovarian function between Laparoscopic versus laparotomy ovarian cystectomy with Meta-analysis.Methods With system evaluation method, comprehensive searches both English and Chinese database.and manual searches have been published in English and Chinese information and conference papers were searched to April2012. Collection of all relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs), quality assessment using the Jadad score standards, and extract data, use the Cochran system evaluation software RevMan5.0of the Meta-analysis of homogeneous studies. Results We recruited6studies.All of the subjects for all benign ovarian cyst. Benign ovarian cysts laparoscopic cystectomy, intraoperative dissection surface without suture, adopt electric coagulation hemostasis (including single bipolar coagulation), set as test group, a total of248cases.laparotomy ovarian cystectomy of benign ovarian cysts, intraoperative dissection surface to take hemostasis, is set to the control group, a total of195cases. All studies were not specifically describe random method, allocation concealment and blinding. Outcome measures were analyzed. The results show:the test group and the control group of patients after1months of estradiol (E2) levels decrease, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels elevated, respectively, compared with the preoperative differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), but remained at normal levels of early follicular phase. Among the4study groups were measured postoperatively at3months the levels of reproductive hormones. After3months and1months after operation, the research group of estradiol (E2) levels are elevated, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels drop, and preoperative, postoperative1months to compare difference not to have statistical significance (P>0.05). And after1months,3months between the test group and the control group compare difference not to have statistical significance (P>0.05). All studies were followed up for over3months, including5research groups described by3months postoperatively menstrual changes. Results indicated that after3months of operation, the test group and the control group has a part of patients with menstrual cycle, menstrual period, menstrual quantity changes, but the test group and the control group showed no significant difference (P>0.05)Conclusion The limited evidence suggests that there were no significant difference Between laparoscopic versus laparotomy ovarian cystectomy on short-time ovarian function. As the included studies were in the high probability of both selection bias and measurement bias,it still can not draw firm conclusions. Our results suggest that further and larger scale randomized controlled trials are needed.
