A Study Of The Diagnostic Values Of MMN,P300and ApEn In Diagnosis Of Mild Cognitive Impairment

ObjectiveTo analyze the changes of MMN,P300and ApEn in patients with mild cognitiveimpairment (MCI) and healthy control subjects,evaluate the diagnostic value ofMMN,P300and ApEn in diagnosis of MCI.MethodsAccording to the criteria of MCI made by Peterson,46subjects with MCI werediagnosed and48normal controls (NC) were recruited.They all underwent thefollowing investigations:Neuropsychological scale,MMN,P300and Electroencephalo-gram. Changes of MMN,P300and ApEn in all subjects were measured and analyzed.Results1. Compared with NC group,MCI patients showed prolonged MMN latency,there wasapparent difference in neuropsychological measures（P＜0.01）.2. Compared with NC group, peak latency of N2,P3and the N2–P3peak-to-peaklatencies were longer,there was apparent difference in neuropsy-chological measures（P＜0.01）.3. MMN latency correlated with the latency of N2and P3（P＜0.01）.4. The latency of MMN,N2,P3and the N2-P3peak-to-peak latencies correlated withMMSE,there was apparent difference in neuropsychological measures（P＜0.01）.5. Compared with eye-opened state,in mental arithmetic with eyes closed,there weresignificant higher among normal controls in the variation of EEG ApEn in terms ofFP,F3,C3,C4,P3,P4,O1,O2,F7,T3,T5．6. Compared with NC group,paitents with MCI have lower EEG ApEn in terms ofFP1,C3,P3,P4,T3,T4,T5in eye-closed state；As well in terms of FP1,FP2,P4,C3,C4,P3,P4,F7,F8,T3,T4,T5in mental arithmetic with eyes closed.7. Patients with prolonged latency of MMN,N2,P3accounted for54.3,54.3,76.1percent of patients with MCI respectively．At least one encephalic region with lower EEG ApEn accounted for68.0and100percent of patients who have prolonged MMNlatency with MCI respectively in eye-closed and mental arithmetic state;As wellaccounted for71.4and91.4percent of patients who have prolonged P3latencyrespectively．Conclusions1. MMN,P300and nonlinear dynamic analysis of EEG may be auxiliary checkingmethods in diagnosis of MCI.2. MMN，P300and ApEn could be used to evaluate the cognition functions of patientswith MCI．The combination of MMN，P300and ApEn could offer objective basis forthe assessment of MCI．...
