Objective:To investigate the Influence of sintering temperature on zirconia/veneer Shear bond strength and the thermal shock resistance; and to observe the interface characterization of zirconia/veneer.Methods:Use Cercon zirconia ceramics to manufacture the core cermic substructures, and use Cercon ceram kiss to firing the veneering surface layer according to 7 different sintering temperatures:(1) 800℃group (2) 810℃group (3) 820℃group (4) 830℃group (5) 840℃group (6) 850℃group (7) 860℃group.70 samples were divided into 7 groups to shear bond tests, another 70 samples were divided into 7 groups to the thermal shock resistance tests,14 samples were divided into 7 groups for SEM observation and X-ray element energy analysis.Result:There were significant differences for shear bond strength between seven groups (P<0.05). Compared with the standard group 830℃group, the highest sintering temperature 860℃group and minimum sintering temperature 800℃group both have significant differences (P<0.05). Compared with the standard group 830℃group,810℃,820℃,840℃,850℃groups all have no differences (P>0.05).There were significant differences for the temperature of the thermal shock resistance between seven groups (P<0.05). Compared with the standard group 830℃group, except the 820℃group and 840℃group both have no differences (P>0.05),800℃,810℃,850℃,860℃groups all have significant differences (P<0.05).SEM showed the zirconia/veneer contacted tightly at the interface, while EDS detected the element of O/Na/Al/Si/Zr/K of the zirconia/veneer interface diffused into each other, sintering temperature can influence this penetration trend.Conclusion:The sintering temperature influences the shear bond strength and the thermal shock resistance of zirconia/veneer, too high or low sintering temperature decreases the shear bond strength and the temperature of the thermal shock resistance of zirconia/veneer. The element of the zirconia/veneer interface can diffused into each other, sintering temperature can influence this penetration trend.
