Objective:To investigate the clinical characters and analysis for related risk factors in gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis, and evaluate the outcome of surgical treatment. Methods:According the implantating districts, surgical treatment of75gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis were analyzed retrospectively with respect to clinicopathologic characters and survival between December2001and July2009.Results:Univariate analysis revealed that tumor size, ascites, lymph node metastasis, degree of differentiation, depth of invasion were correlated with peritoneal metastasis (P<0.05).The Logistic regression model revealed that the depth of invasion and ascites were independent factors (P<0.05).Among75patients underwent laparotomy,In contrast with those of male patients, the age of female patients was younger (P<0.05),below the2/3cancer (gastric antrum, stomach body) and tumors diameter≥5cm were easily found in81.33%and76%respectively, ascites were found in52cases (69.33%),histologic anatomy in what poor differentiated carcinoma or undifferentiated carcinoma many see, account for74.67%, the depth of invasion T3and T4account for17.33%and82.67%respectively, lymph node metastasis account for81.33%,the total of Surgery resection account for64%.Significant difference was found in survival curve between the palliative operation group and non-palliative operation group (P<0.05), survival times in patients with palliative gastrectomy were obviously longer than those without gastrectomy, the gastrectomy group and non-gastrectomy group was found with no-difference in postoperative complications and operation mortality (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The depth of invasion and ascites are intimately correlated with peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer;2. The study found that the age of female patients was younger than male in gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis;3. The important factor that surgical resection may influencing survival in patient with peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer.
