Objective: Effects of oxidative stress in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) lead to cerebral infarction by atherosclerotic. Methods: According to the selection criteria and exclusion criteria,20cases of patients with cerebral infarction,20patients with OSAHS,20patients with cerebral infarction and OSAHS were selected as case group during the study period; In the physical examination center20normal subjects were selected as control group during the same period. Using double antibody sandwich ABC-ELISA method for the determination of15-F2t-isoprostane expression;using carotid ultrasound measurement of carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT).Results:(1)15-F2t-isoprostane expression and carotid intima-media thickness in the four group comparison difference has statistical sense (15-F2t-isoprostanes:F=153.142, P<0.001; EVIT:F=183.056, P<0.001).(2) Each group within the15-F2t-isoprostane and carotid intima-media thickness in correlation analysis indicated they were positively correlated with cerebral infarction+OSAHS group, which is the most obvious (control group:r=-0.046, P=0.847; cerebral infarction group:r=0.460, P=0.041; OSAHS group:r=0.482; P=0.032; cerebral infarction+OSAHS group:r=0.685, P<0.001).Conclusion:Oxidative stress level and carotid artery intima-media thickness in a linear correlation, and OSAHS complicated with cerebral infarction patients was significantly related to. Infer OSAHS oxidative stress in patients with elevated levels may promote atherosclerosis through resulting in cerebral infarction. For the clinical prevention of OSAHS occurs in patients with cerebral infarction and provide theoretical guidance.
