Objective:to investigate the change and relationship of serum homocysteine (HCY) and c-reactive protein (CRP) levels in acute coronary syndrome(ACS) patient with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT).Method:the levels of HCY and CRP in89ACS patients with IGT were determined there are52cases in AMI group37cases in UA group, and20cases for control group who be confirmed without coronary heart disease by angiography.Result: the levels of HCY and CRP in ACS patients with IGT were higher than the group of control (P<0.01).The level of HCY between AMI group and control group was significantly different (P<0.01).And the level of HCY between UA group and control group was significantly different too(P<0.01). the level of CRP between AMI group and control group was statistically different (P<0.05), the level of CRP between UA group and control group was statistically different too (P<0.05), Between AMI group and UA group, the level of HCY had no difference, in group of AMI, the level of CRP was higher than the group of UA (P<0.001).the level of CRP are closely related to ACS.Conclusion:Inflammation in the pathogenesis of ACS patient with IGT. The increased HCY and CRP are closely related to ACS patient.
