Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the correlationbetween clinical features and etiology of neonatal enterovirus infection, inparticular, enterovirus71(EV71), Coxsackie A group of16(CoxA16),echovirus30type (E30) and Deputy echovirus infection in newborns; andinfected with the clinical features and season, age and sexdistribution. Experiment Methods: Collecting stool specimens of584casesof hospitalized newborns in January-December in2011, we adopted reversetranscription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to detect of EV Universal,EV71, CoxA16, E30and vice Aye virus, and reexamined the stool specimens ofenterovirus infection for the EV Universal after two weeks; At the sametime,we drawed the blood for rountine analysis, glucose test, liver functiontest, serum creatine kinase and other tests; At last,we analyzed the clinical dataand drawed a conclusion. Results: In2011,the positive rate of neonatalenterovirus infection is11.98%(70/584) in chang-chun children’s hospital.among them the positive rate of EV71was11.43%(8/70), CoxA16, E30andvice ella were not detected; EV infection has seasonality, the highest peak ofthe month is July and August; sex ratio is1.5:1(men: women); the highest peakof the age of20to28days old; The clinical mainifestions of enterovirusinfection are diarrhea, fever, rash, circulatory disorders, myocardial damageetc, fever is the common mainifestion in the newborn children of enterovirusinfection;fever:58.57%(41cases), Diarrhea:57.14%(40cases); refusing tomilk:14.29%(10cases)Vomiting:17.14%(12cases); Skin rashes:32.86%(23cases); Myocardial injury (ecg myocardial ischemia, increasedmyocardial enzy-mees):29.41%;Neurological complications (jumped/tremor/ ejected milk/sleepiness):22.86%, respiratory complications (bronchitis,bron-chial pneumonia)55.71%. In the positive cases, we reexamine the stoolspecimens of enterovirus infection after two weeks, the EV positiverate:90%(20case-s), The infants of EV71infection: fever:100%; rash:75%;the feature of rash:lasting about3days, leaving no trace, having differentcharacteristics with rash of children of HFMD; After treatment, the infants ofenter-ovirus infection were clinical cure.Average day in hospital is8.83±1.79days. Conclusions:1.There are enterovirus infection in newborn children, andthe main type of enterovirus in2011is EV71;2.Neonatal enterovirus infectionhave obvious seasonality (July to August);3.The high risk age of enterovirusinfection is20-28days old;4.The clinical mainifestions of enterovirus infectionare diarrhea, fever, rash, circulatory disorders, myocardial damage etc, fever isthe common mainifestion in the newborn children of enterovirus infection;5.After two weeks the stool specimens of neonate of enterovirus infection testpositive.
