[Objective]:To investigate whether ATP-binding cassette transporter A1(ABCA1) regulating apolipoprotein M expression being mediated via theliver receptor homolog-1(LRH1) pathway in HepG2cellls.[Methods]:HepG2cells were incubated in presence of liver Xreceptor(LXR) agonists GW3965with or without ABCA1antagonistDisodium4,4′-diisothiocyanatostilbene-2,2′-disulfonate (DIDS), The mRNAlevels of ABCA1, LRH1, apoM and apoAI were determined by the real-timeRT-PCR.[Results]:GW3965could significantly up-regulate ABCA1(P<0.01) anddown-regulate LRH1expression(P<0.01), however, neither apoM nor apoAIexpression was significantly influences(P>0.05). Combination of GW3965and DIDS have effects on the inhibition of apoM or apoAI expression inHepG2cells (P<0.05), however, ABCA1or LRH1mRNA expression haveno significant statistical(P>0.05).[Conclusion]:The present study demonstrated that ABCA1mediatedapoM expression does not via the LRH1pathway.
