Objective To Observed the serum level of serum amyloid A (SAA), C-reactive protein (CRP) in Chronic renal failure (CRF) patient and carotid intimal lesion, Guide the clinical treatment. Methods Select the blood purification center of Qingdao University Hospital in November2009to December2011is about to begin hemodialysis patients with ESRD.60cases of ESRD patients including34males and26females, mean age43.67±■14.57years.Primary disease to20cases of chronic nephritis, hypertensive nephrosclerosis18cases,16cases of diabetic nephropathy, polycystic kidney disease2cases,2cases of interstitial nephritis, vasculitis and obstructive nephropathy1cases, for unknown reasons one cases. Grouped in accordance with the carotid intima-media thickness (IMT), Divided into normal IMT group (IMT≥1.1mm) and IMT thickening (IMT<1.1mm), All patients underwent bicarbonate dialysis3times/week/time4h.Braun dialysis machine, hemodialysis, blood flow200-250ml/min dialysate flow500ml/min. Dialyzer Freseninus F6(polysulfone membrane, the membrane area1.3m2). Select another hospital health examination center healthy persons and30were the control group. Results ESRD patients before dialysis renal function, blood lipids, uric acid levels in the comparison (P>0.05). Two groups of the SAA in ESRD patients before dialysis of CRP were higher than those in the control group (all P<0.01).Normal IMT group (IMT<1.1mm) group with IMT thickening (IMT>1.1mm) of SAA, CRP (P<0.05). SAA, CRP after dialysis than before dialysis was significantly reduced, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).SAA and CRP in ESRD patients before dialysis is positively correlated (r=0.919, P<0.0,1). ESRD patients before and after dialysis two groups of patients with carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions Levels in the blood of patients with ESRD was significantly higher than healthy people, with the increase of carotid intima-media thickness of the SAA, CRP levels rise and become positively correlated. Dialysis did not slow down the rate of atherosclerosis.
