Objective To compare the superiority of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) by three-dimensional mapping system (3D group) and the conventional electrophysiological mapping under X-ray (conventional group).Methods83patients with PSVT,27males and56females, were assigned to either3D group(44cases) including Ensite-NavX system and the Carto3system or conventional group (39cases) to guide ablation, respectively. The fluoroscopy time, operation time, and occurrence of complications were compared between two group.Results83patients with PSVT were ablated immediate. The mean fluoroscopy time was significantly shorter used in the3D group compared with the conventional group (8.2±4.1min versus15.1±5.6min, P<0.05),and the follow-up success rate was significantly higher in the3D compared with the conventional group (100%versus92.3%, P<0.05). There were no significant difference between two methods for the mean operation time(101±24min versus99±25min,P=0.71). Conclusion RFCA of PSVT guided by the three-dimensional mapping was safe and effective, and with the reduction of the radiation exposure time and recurrence compared with the conventional group.
