| Objective:Comparison of effects of intrapleural injection ethanol and erythromycin for treating chylothorax.Methods:Fifty three patients with chylothorax, randomly divided into two groups, ethanol group including27patients and erythromycin group including26patients. Clinical cure rate and adverse reaction were observed.Results:There were not statistically difference in cure rate between these two groups (p>0.05); There were significant differences in the cure duration and adverse reaction rate between the two groups, ethanol group obviously less than erythromycin groups, there was a statistically significant difference (p<0.05), ethanol group adverse reaction is less than that of erythromycin, there was a statistically significant difference (p<0.05).Conclusions:Intrapleural injection ethanol reatment for chylothorax in The cure duration and adverse reaction rate were superior to the erythromycin treatment. |
