But Gelatin sponge particles degradedcompletely in14to90days and the spleen regeneration possible. Therefore, thecomparison Embosphere microspheres and gelatin sponge particles of twoembolic agents, partial splenic embolization line short-term and long-termefficacy, trying to find a better PSE embolic agent.66cases of hypersplenism inpatients with splenic embolization. Based on the use of embolic agents weredivided into gelatin sponge particles (particle groups) of36cases,30casesEmbosphere microspheres (microspheres), Choose a diameter of560~710umgelatin sponge particles and diameter of500~700um Embospheremicrospheres, the embolism area in40%.Check liver and kidney function,liverCT,two groups of patients before a definite diagnosis for hypersplenism. Firstline PSE treatment,the routine use of antibiotics in the preoperative day andfasting water intestinal preparation. The gelatin sponge particles diameter is560~710um,Embosphere microsphere diameter is500~700um. Follow-up afterone week, one month, six month, patients were review white blood cell(WBC),platelet(PLT) counts and post-operative reaction. Particle group and the groupof microspheres one week after the patient’s WBC and PLT significantly increased, one month after the patien’s WBC and PLT significantly increasedone month after the WBC and PLT continues to rise. Particle group and thegroup of microspheres in one week, a month to review the nameless significantstatistical difference (P>0.05). two group six months after the WBC and PLTdifference was statistically significant (P<0.01). Patients in both groups wereleft lower quadrant pain, but the microspheres pain response in patients withrelatively mild.Gelatin sponge particle embolization is incomplete, the pass the recurrencerate was high, the reaction after heavy, long-term effect is not ideal, and evenrepeated the line of the PSE. But Embosphere microspheres in a singleembolization can achieve long-term efficacy the microspheres dowmstream ofthe proximal embolism, effectively preventing the collateral circulation, evenlydistributed, embolization completely.Observation Embosphere microspheres as a new embolic material used inPSE in order to achieve better long-term clinical efficacy advantage andmaximizing alleviate patient suffering and economic burden to provide furtherclinical evidence.
