Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects and safety of endoscopic treatment in deal with gastrointestinal carcinoid,by means of observing Endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) or endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) in treatment of gastrointestinal carcinoid. Methods:Endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) or endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) was performed in7patients with gastrointestinal carcinoid.5of them were gastric carcinoid,2were rectalcarcinoid.Observed adverse reactions and forward the recurrence rate.Results:7patients were diagnosed as having carcinoid by pathological analysis. Ranging from0.3to1.5cm, all carcinoid tumors were completely resected with substrate and basal resection margins free of tumor tissue(=0.2cm). All patients were followed up for6to24months with no residue or recurrence. Conclusion:EMR and ESD in treatment of gastrointestinal carcinoid with diameter=2.0cm and no infringing muscularis propria is safe and effective.
