Abstract/Summary:
Background:Patellofemoral Traeking relies on the soft tissue around the knee, Including of the static function offered by joint capsule and retinaculum, the dynamic function offered by Musculus Quadriceps Femoris. Rotating hinge knee prosthesis for total knee arthroplasty after wide resection of the distal part of the femur upset the balance which can change Patellofemoral Traeking, even cause Patellofemoral Malalignnlent. The general expectation is that Patellofemoral Malalignnlent is an important cause of chondromalacia patellae and patellofemoral joint diseases. Patellar-friendly femoral component can offer stable bone-provede support,at the same time, it fends off over Joint Surface Stresses-increase, performs the correction of unstable and malalignnlent of patellofemoral Traeking. Objective:To explore the Patellofemoral Traeking varying of rotating hinge knee prosthesis for total knee arthroplasty after wide resection of the distal part of the femur.Methods:Between January2010and December2011,32patients had been treated with prosthetic knee replacement after wide resection of the distal part of the femur. There were27patiens We were able to obtain imaging date, historical date of patients whoese knee joint were normal in function before operation. Patellofemoral Traeking was measured on the axial X-ray Film with weight-bearing position and the knee at30°Before and after operation. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS software(version13.0software). The date was expressed as mean±SD.4sets of pre and post operatively data were evaluated with use of paired design t test and Group Design t test. Values of P<0.05were considered to be statistical significance.Results:All cases recovered well after operation, without severe complication such as infection, venous thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism. There were No tumor distant metastasic and local recurrence, No loose, No displace and rupture of Knee Prosthesis after3-months postoperative followed up. The range of motion were of knees60°to120°with an average of94°. There were not significances defference in statistics between lateral patellofemoral angle and congruence angle (p>0.05).Degree of patellar lateral tilt and lateral patellar displacement were statistically significant (p<0.05) Conclusions:Patellofemoral Traeking of rotating hinge knee prosthesis for total knee arthroplasty after wide resection of the distal part of the femur Varied widely which were measured on the axial X-ray Film with weight-bearing position and the knee at30°Before and after operation. Patella shows moving and tilting toward the exterior Trends after operation, but no Patellofemoral Malalignnlent.
