Objectract:to detect the expression of the large tumor suppressor homolog2(LATS2) in human epithelial ovarian cancer tissue and to analysis the correlation with the tumor progression,To provide the theory bacisfor the pathogenesis, targeted therapy and early screening lesions of epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods::SYBR Green quantitative real—time PCR were employed to detect the expression the mRNA of LATS2in the following tissues samples:20epithelial ovarian cancer and10ovarian benign tumors and10normal ovarian tissues from patients. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect protein expression and locations of LATS2protein in the tissue of58epithelial ovarian cancer,30benign epithelial and30normal ovaries.Results:1.LATS2mRNA:The expression of LATS2mRNA in epithelial ovarian cancer was significant lower than that in benign, and normal group(P<0.05). the expression of LATS2mRNA in the epithelial ovarian cancer group of stageⅢ--Ⅳ poorly differentiated and with lymph node metastasis was significant lower than that in stage Ⅰ~Ⅱ、high or moderately differentiated group and no lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), and the expression of LATS2mRNA was not correlated with age and pathological type (P>0.05).2.The expression of LATS2protein:The LATS2was mainly located in cytolymph through immunohistochemical outcome. LATS2protein in normal group are all positive expression, but the expression of43%in epithelial ovarian cancer group is missing.The expression of LATS2protein in epithelial ovarian cancer group was significant lower than that in benign and normal group(P<0.05), and there Was significant difference among other two groups. The expression of LATS2protein epithelial ovarian cancer group of advanced stage poorly differentiated and with lymph node metastasis Was significant lower than that in early stage、high differentiated and no lymph node metastasis group(P<0.05), and the expression of LATS2protein was not correlated with age and pathological type (P>0.05).Conclusion:The expression of LATS2mRNA and protein in epithelial ovarian cancer was both lower than that in benign and normal ovarian tissue,The expressions of protein level were missed, show that LATS2gene is related with the occurrence of epithelial ovarian cancer. And we found a inversely related trend between this level and the malignant evolution process, show that The lower expressions level of LATS2gene may participate in the development and metastasis process of epithelial ovarian cancer. LATS2may be has certain significance for the The pathogenesis, targeted therapy and early screening lesions of epithelial Ovarian cancer.
