Objective:1、1、To discuss visualization of the peripheral pulmonary arteries of different concentration contrast medium, flow injected rate of iodine with MSCT.2、To discuss visualization of the peripheral pulmonary arteries of different collimation with MSCT.Methods:The patients who met the inclusion criteria(exclusion lung carcinoma, tuberculosis, the history of the lung surgery, infection, bronchiectasia, pulmonary embolism, serious pulmonary heart disease, Pulmonary artery hypertension, heart failure and pulmonary vascular malformation) were detected by thoracic enhanced CT scan from February,2011to October,2011in our hospital. Bolus tracking techniques were used. In all patients the region of interest(ROI) were located the center of the trunk pulmonary. Delay3S began monitoring and threshold was reached100HU. Scanning was started. From apex to base lung scan. Condition of scanning:120kv,80mAs.Patients were received5o ml iodinated contrast material. These people were divided into4groups (Groups A:350mgI/ml,3ml/s; B:350mgI/ml,5ml/s; C:300mgI/ml,3ml/s; D:300mgI/ml,5ml/s) as different concentration contrast medium, flow injected rate of iodine and2groups as different collimation(Group D0.6mm, Group E1.5mm,300mgl/ml,5ml/s). Groups A,B,C, D were rebuilt slice thickness of0.75mm and group E of1.5mm.And statistical analysis the CT values of pulmonary trunk, left and right pulmonary arteris and the fourth-order arteris. The visualization of fifth-and sixth-order arteries were measured.Results:100patients were brought into this study. There were sixty-eight men and thirty-two women. The differences of CT values of pulmonary trunk, left and right pulmonary arteris and the fourth-order arteris were statistically significant(P<0.05) and there was no statistically significant in the total number of the fourth-order arteris(P=0.19) in five groups. There were statistically significant in the visualization of fifth-order arteries in lower lobe and sixth-order arteries in each lober. There was no statistically significant in the visualization of fifth-order arteries(P=0.78) and the opposite conclusion in sixth-order arteries(P=0.00) in group D and group E.Conclusion:1、Using350mgI/ml concentration contrast medium and5ml/s flow injected rate of iodine in MSCT angiography of the pulmonary arteries can significantly increase visualization of the peripheral pulmonary arteries.2、Using0.6mm collimation in MSCT angiography of the pulmonary arteries can significantly increase visualization of the peripheral pulmonary arteries.
