Glechomae herba is the aerial parts of Glechoma longituba (Nakai) Kupr., which also known as Jiangsu Christina Loosestrife Herb, large leaf Christina Loosestrife Herb, etc. And Jiangsu is road real estate area of it. It has a long history in clinical for eliminating dampness, clearing and detoxifying, diuretic row of stone, stasis swelling, and can mainly be used for clinical treatment of urinary tract stones, liver-gallstones, jaundice, injury, and so on. However, to our knowledge, publications of Glechomae herba are limited. The quality standard system of the herba is insufficient. Only listed in the present Chinese Pharmacopoeia the traits, identification, examination and extract contents, but not related to content determination. In order to distinguish Glechoma Herbs with other similar herbs and improve the quality standards to ensure a safe and effective use, a series of exploitation has to be carried out. The main resesrch results are as follows:1TLC method was used to estabolish a method for the identification by taken luteolin, ursolic acid and Glechomae herba as indicators.2Established the determination methods of the total flavonoids in Glechomae Herba by UV, and chromatographic to test the Luteolin, Chlorogenic acid, Oleanolic acid, and Ursolic acid by HPLC.3Using HPLC as a means and taking12batches Glechomae Herba as objects, preliminary fingerprint study was conducted to estabolish the wild and cultivated varieties of Glechomae herba fingerprint database. To investigate the optimum conditions of total flavonoids extraction in Glechomae Herba, central composite design-response surface method (CCD-RSM), has been used for the first time. Compared with the traditional orthogonal design and uniform design, the optimum mathematic model is highly predictive, and the experimental design methods have higher reliability and simple. In short, CCD-RSM can be used to optimize extraction of total flavonoids of Herba Glechoma Longituba and worthy to popularize.
