Objective:To explore mild moxibustion on reducing blood lipid, improving clinical symptoms, the relation between blood lipid and oxygen partial pressure and the relation between mild moxibustion and oxygen partial pressure treating patients with hyperlipidemia by mild moxibustion recording changes in blood lipid, oxygen partial pressure and clinical symptoms.Method:Thirty cases from the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic were all treated with mild moxibustion RN8and ST36, each point10minutes, to treat the next day. Before treatment, treatment after1.5months and treatment after3months we recorded the blood lipid, oxygen partial pressure and TCM syndrome score. Finally we conducted statistical analysis to assess the result.Result:The research results display mild moxibustion can reduce TC after1.5months’ treatment.Although the improvement of TG is not significant(P>0.05) it has a decreasing trendency.After3month’s treatment TG and TC are all be reduced with a significant meaning(P<0.05).After1.5months’and3months’treatment the base value of oxygen partial pressure, value during or after mild moxibustion therapeutic have been rised with a significant meaning(P<0.05). In the measurement of oxygen partial pressure, the above values have a decreasing trendency without a significant difference(P>0.05).TG and TC have a negative correlation with oxygen partial pressure and rate of change between them have a positive correlation. After the treatment the scores of lower limbs numbness, dizziness, top-heaviness, chest distress and palpitation are decreased with a significant difference(P<0.05).The changes of lower limbs numbness and the base value of oxygen partial pressure have a positive correlation. Conclusion:Mild moxibustion therapy is an effective treatment in hyperlipidemia. It can reduce the blood lipid, improve clinical symptoms and prevent the complications especially the atherosclerosis. We also found that the blood and the oxygen partial pressure had a correlation.Although during the mild moxibustion treatment there is no significant difference of the oxygen partial pressure after a period of treatment it has been rised.
