Objective: Sudden cardiac death(SCD) usually results from malignantventricular arrhyth-mias. There are around540000people died from SCD in China.Study of ECG parameters, by retrospective analysis of patients with malignantventricular arrhythmias including ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricularfibrillation (VF), is to discover the predictive value of malignant ventriculararrhythmias in patients with noninvasive ECG parameters indicators. Methods: The ECG from73patients with malignant ventricular arrhythmiaswere collected in our hospital from2005to2011, as VT+VF group. Then wemeasured the ECG parameters, including RR, QRS, QT, QTc, TpTe, JTp,JTpC,TpTeC, JTp/QT, J wave, T wave alternans.100cases of normal healthyindividuals were selected as the control group. Results: The results showed8of73(10.96%) patients with J wave, No J waveswere found in the normal control group.TpTe and TpTeC from VT+VF group weresignificantly prolonged than that in control group (108.90±22.76vs77.90±8.44,118.63±24.103vs85.91±9.68,P <0.01).JTp, JTpC and JTp/QT interval in VT+VFgroup were significantly shorter compared with that in the control group (196.44±41.97vs223.30±28.10,212.79±36.72vs245.42±23.835,0.48±0.07vs0.56±0.33,P<0.01). QT, QTc and QRS showed no significant difference in VT+VF groupcompared with control group(399.73±52.20vs393.60±32.52,435.34±50.66vs433.17±25.65,93.97±25.86vs92.40±9.11,P>0.05).T-wave alternants were not foundin both groups. Conclusion: The prolongation of TpTe and TpTeC and shortening of JTp, JTpCand JTp/QT and are associated with malignant ventricular arrhythmias.
