From the interviewees’points of view to understand the phenomenon occurred. In this study, the Premarital Health-care Centers were used to enroll1680objects who meets the inclusive criteria between August and December,2011. And use EpiData2.1software for data entry and verification, SAS9.2for data analysis. Results:Quantitative researchDuring the study,1589qualified questionnaires were collected, qualified response rate of94.58%. The average age was26.33±3.18.63.9%participants earned between2000and 4999RMB per month.49.13%of them didn’t reach the secondary education level. It’s a low level of reproductive health knowledge. The lowest score aspects was sexual-health questions, and only17.75%answered correctly the lowest score questions. The lowest three correct rate questions, two were from sexual-health aspects, and one was from RTIs/STD aspects.(2) To explore the difference between objects of study influencing reproductive health knowledgeComparative analysis of the knowledge score level of the participants with different backgrounds showed that the knowledge score differences between different regions, age groups, education levels, living conditions, as well as the average monthly income groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Further analysis revealed that the knowledge score of the participants with higher education was1.363times as high as that of those with under higher education; the reproductive health knowledge score of the participants shared a house with strangers was lower (OR=0.428); the reproductive health knowledge score of the participants in Jimo had a higher probability of2283times than that of those living in Huangdao.(3) To know the reproductive health behavior experience of unmarried male youth85.07%of the participants existed the dangerous reproductive health behavior.9.03%of the participants’first intercourse partner was non-regular partner.23.25%of the participants had more than one sexual partner to have sex in the past year.12.93%of the participants had commercial sex.8.90%of the participants had anal sex. The sexual behavior without contraception of the participants accounted for30.27%. Among the population with contraception,23.11%did not use contraceptive measures properly. Among the participants with re-use of condoms,44%did not intend to become pregnant. Among the participants not currently intending to have pregnancy, but having sexual behavior within the past six months,55.04%could not insist on the use of contraceptive measures.12.52%of the participants suffered from unwanted sexual behavior,46.34%conducted the unwanted behavior.34.21%clearly indicated that they had ever made the companion with an unwanted pregnancy.(4) To explore the difference between objects of study adopting varied reproductive health behaviorLogistic regression analysis showed that the residence place, the average monthly income, living situation and parents’ marital status were related to the choice of object when having the first sex. People who lived in JiMo area (OR=0.197), had higher average monthly income (10000yuan VS.2000yuan, OR=4.022), cohabited with strangers, the divorce situation of parents’ marital status (OR=3.358) were more likely having the first sex with non-regular sexual partners.Reproductive health knowledge, educational level, living situations and occupation of these unmarried young men were related to the risk behaviour. People with reproductive health knowledge (OR=0.413) and higher education level (OR=0.471) were less likely to have the high risk behaviour. However, the possibility of having the high risk behaviour among men who cohabited with strangers is3.421times than men who lived alone. And the possibility of having the high risk behaviour among men who engaging business is1.888times than men who were the labour workers.Qualitative research(5) To seek the causes of reproductive health behavior of objectsThe intercose feel might be interfered was the main reason for those who reluctant to use condoms. There was a big misunderstanding to the side effects of contracptive pills. Lots of the respondents were not awareness the risk of multi sex parterner. Bad TV drama was a risk factor to the risky sex behaviors. There was a taboo in taking about unwanted sex. Respondents were not clearly regognize the impection of unwanted pregnacies to their female sex partner.(6) Explore the existing reproductive health services for unmarried young men and sexual needs of the gap The vast majority of subjects demonstrated a clear willingness to go to public hospital, but a lot of people still recognize that there is some rational reason for the existence of private hospitals, especially its good privacy. Privacy protection is the primary reason for subjects to choose a private hospital. The second reason is difficult medical treatment due to hospital process, poor attitude of the medical staff, and price factors in public hospital. As for availability of the contraceptives, the vast majority of subjects showed an attitude to select regular store to buy contraceptives. Mainly because of the geographic environment, and partly the business hours, some subjects will select non-formal adult stores to purchase contraceptives. Conclusion:The overall knowledge of reproductive health among unmarried male youth were poor, of which objects of different backgrounds varied. The majority of objects used condoms as the first contraceptive choice. The main reason influencing contraceptive preference is intercourse feeling. There are high prevalences of first intercourse with non-regular sexual partners as well as commercial sex. Interviewees adopted evasive attitudes towards coerced sex with a high prevalence of coerced sex among unmarried male youth. There is a high prevalence of unwanted pregnancies. However most interviewees’ attitudes were indifferent or helpless, which reflected that participants were still unable to clearly recognize the impact of the unexpected pregnancies.
