Objective:To investigate the trend of resistance to antimicrobial agents among clinical isolatesisolated from sputum of Gram-negative bacterium in Anhui,2007-2009, and canprovide the information of the prevention cure and drug resistance controlling strategyof the Gram-negative bacteria.Materials and Methods:Isolates:Totally1492strains of Gram-negative bacterium isolated from sputum were collected in4hospitals of Anhui Province from2007to2009.Method:Agar diffusion test was used to analyze the diversity of drug susceptibility ofGram-negative bacterium isolated from sputum in Anhui,2007-2009. The resistant rate(R%), susceptibility rate (S%), and intermediate rate (I%) of drugs were calculatedaccording to the criteria recommended by the guidelines of CLSI (2009).Results:A total of1492clinical strains isolated from sputum were collected from January2007toDecember2009. The average susceptibility rates of Acinetobacter collected from ICU toimipenem and meropenem were70.0%and61.3%, respectively. The resistance rates ofAcinetobacter collected from ICU to piperacillin-tazobactam, cefepime, ceftazidime, ceftriaxone, gentamicin, amikacin, ciprofloxacin were higher than the strains collected fromnon-ICU. The susceptibility rates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa collected from ICU andnon-ICU to piperacillin-tazobactam, imipenem, meropenem, amikacin were higher than 50%. The resistance rates of K. pneumoniae and E. coli to piperacillin-tazobactam,imipenem, meropenem, amikacin were lower than30%. The resistance rates to ampicillin, ceftriaxone, aztreonam, fluoroquinolones were higher than50%.Conclusion:1. The major strains collected from sputum of Gram-negative bacterium were Klebsiellapneumoniae, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli in Anhui;2. The resistant rate from IUC higher than the non-ICU;3. The surveillance of antimicrobial resistance showed partial diversity for the past threeyears.
