Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of drug for promoting blood circulationand removing stasis to relieve the pleural thickening, adhesion and encapsulated pleurisycaused by the tuberculate pleural effusion. Methods: According to the principle of random and control, to divide the60patientscomplying with the standard of this research into two groups:30people in experimentalgroup and30in control group. Treat the experimental group with Chinese medicines onthe basis of conventional therapy with western medicine, using intravenous drip once a day.Meanwhile, treat the control group with western medicine only in conventionaltherap.Observing the the time of disappearance of the clinical symptoms (fever, chokingsensation in chest, chest pain), the clinical general therapeutic effect, the time of completedrainage of pleural effusion and the total amount drainage of pleural effusion, thedifference of pleural thickness and pleural adhesion level before and after the treatment, the index of the liver function before and after the cure, the untoward effects of all patients. Results: The the time of the temperature back to normal and disappearance of chestpain of the experimental group was shorter than the control group(all P<0.01),There wasno difference between the two groups in the the time of disappearance of chestpain(P>0.05).The time of complete drainage of pleural effusion in the experimental groupwas shorter than control group’s(P<0.05),The total amount of pleural effusion of theexperimental group was increaser than control group’s(P<0.05).Two months later, theparietal pleural thickness of experimental group was significantly thinner than beforetreatment and the control group(P<0.05);The pleural adhesion and parcels of the xperimental group were lower than control group’s(P<0.05); In the clinical generaltherapeutic effect, experimental group’s syndrome effects were better than controlgroup’s(p<0.05).Patients of two groups have no significant difference in the liver functiondamage(P>0.05).Conclusion: Drug for promoting blood circulation and removing stasis should beapplied into the tuberculate pleural effusion, which can noticeably improve patients’clinical efficacy and light pleural thickening, adhesion and encapsulated pleurisy.Tocombine western medicines with Chinese medicines together into disease cure can promoteclinical effectiveness and shorten time of treatment. The mechanism of the abovephenomenon may lie in the remarkable healing efficacy of drug for promoting bloodcirculation and removing stasis on enhancing immunity, anti inflammation, anti plateletaggregation, resisting oxidation, improving the microcirculation and and so on.
