Objective To characterize intratumoral vascularization in early stage cervical cancer by CDFI (Color Doppler Flow Imaging) and3D-PDUS (Three-Dimensional Power Doppler Ultrasound).Methods The correlation index contains PSV、EDV、RI、VI、FI and VFI within the tumor or normal cervix were recorded and used for analysis in the forty patients with early-stage cervical cancer,thirty patients with CIN and thirty normal control. Vascular blood flow indices of cervical cancer were compared with those of CIN and normal control. The tumor volume of the cervical cancer was determined.The relationship between parameters and cervical tumor volume were analyzed.Results PSV、EDV、VI、FI、VFI in cervical cancer group were significantly higher than those in CIN group and control group, RI was lower than that in CIN group and control group. The mean tumor volume detected by CDFI and3D-PDUS has a passive linear correlation with RI (r=-0.467, P=0.002) and positive linear correlation with FI(r=0.457, P=0.003), respectively,but not with PSV、EDV、VI orVFI. RI and VI have the maximum value under the ROC area curve RI:(0.790,95%CI:0.701-0.880), VI:(0.908,95%CI:0.848-0.968),respectively.The validity of RI’s and VI’s prediction is (RI=0.59, Sensitivity=72.5%,specificity=75.0%),(VI=3.60,sensitivity=75.0%,specif -icity=100.0%) respectively. Two joint test, used in tandem:sensitivity is65%, specificity is100%; in parallel:sensitivity is87.5%, and specificity75%.Conclusion Transvaginal CDFI can predict the blood distribution of the cervical cancer, and transvaginal3D-PDUS can detect the blood distribution of the early-stage cervical cancer quantitatively, provides a useful tool to investigate intratumoral vascularization and volume of cervical cancer. Transvaginal3D-PDUS compensate for the transvaginal effectively; two joint can reduce the rate of misdiagnosis.
