Objective To investigate the relationship between HLA-DRB1*14、15alleles and virological response of adefovir dipivoxil in chronic hepatitis B forsix months. Methods HLA-DRB1*14、15alleles were detected by using thepolymerase chain reaction sequence specific primer(PCR-SSP) in94patientswith chronic hepatitis B divided into52cases of response group and42cases ofpoor response group and94normal control subjects. And the Frequencies ofHLA-DRB1*14、15were analyzed between the two groups. Results No significant difference were found in HLA-DRB1*14、15alleles frequencies between chronic hepatitis B and normal control subjects(P>0.05). No significant difference were found in HLA-DRB1*14、15allelesfrequencies with hepatitis e antigen in Chronic hepatitis B(P>0.05).Nosignificant difference was found in HLA-DRB1*14frequency with virologicalresponse of adefovir dipivoxil. However, the frequency of HLA-DRB1*15inresponse group was significantly higher than that in poor respone goup (χ~2=5.050,P=0.025,OR=3.176,95%CI:1.127~8.951).Conclusions The frequencies of HLA-DRB1*14、15alleles in chronichepatitis B and normal control subjects are basically the same.HLA-DRB1*14、15alleles in Chronic hepatitis B have no relationship distribution with hepatitise antigen.HLA-DRB1*14may not be the evaluation index of antiviral efficacy.HLA-DRB1*15may have enhanced the virological response of adefovirdipivoxi.
