| Objective To investigate the relationship between pigment epithelium-derivedfactor (PEDF) single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)and coronary arterydisease in Chinese Han elderly males.Methods796subjects were include:416coronary artery disease patients(case group),380normal subjects(control group). All subjects were genotypedfor SNPs (rs11078634ã€rs1136287ã€rs11658342ã€rs12453107〠rs6828ã€rs12603825ã€rs8075977)of PEDF by ligase detection reaction. Results There were no significant differences in frequencies of genotype andallele of SNPs (rs11078634ã€rs1136287ã€rs11658342ã€rs12453107〠rs6828ã€rs12603825) of PEDF betweem control and case groups. The allele frequence ofrs8075977was significantly different between case and control subjects(P=0.0067,OR=0.70ï¼›95%CI=0.52-0.94). To contrl Type I error the Bonferroni correction wasused, with the adjusted alpha value of0.007.Conclusions Ours results suggest that rs8075977may be association withcoronary artery disease in Chinese Han elderly males. |
