Objective:To carry out the incidence of rural residents and residents flu cold prevention, treatment and other disease prevention knowledge and awareness survey. The experimental group of farmers after influenza vaccination, evaluation of influenza vaccine effectiveness in preventing colds and the resulting economic benefits. Explore the cost of influenza vaccination of farmers into the scope of rural cooperative medical claims to improve influenza vaccination rates of farmers to protect the health of the majority of farmers new methods of work.Methods:The age group selected a total of three communities Jiaonan375influenza vaccine for the vaccination group were randomly selected age, gender, health status, income and educational background did not match the population influenza vaccination as a control group, while the experimental group and control group baseline survey, the survey subjects including sex, age, educational level, health status, occupation, household income, history of previous influenza vaccination, influenza prevention and control knowledge, the two groups were followed up for12months, the survey recorded a cold (including influenza) in the pathogenesis of influenza complications, treatment costs and other information, entry forms Excel application SPSS10.0statistical software for statistical analysis, the use of health economic evaluation methods of cost-benefit analysis. Results:The survey questionnaire750, the63.26%that the flu is respiratory tract infection,70.69%that the windows open for ventilation and other environmental disinfection measures can reduce the risk of colds,73.60%that the influenza vaccine effective in preventing colds,0.63%in recent influenza vaccine inoculation over three consecutive years,76.93that after a cold treatment of choice is infusion therapy,60.10%preferred to the post-cold-owned community health service stations treatment,37.12%after a cold around the pharmacy to buy drugs of choice to self-medication. The protective rates of flu vaccine is29.70%on average,60years old age group is66.92%. Vaccine against influenza-like illness, the average protection rate of56.62%, of which over60years age group69.23%. Vaccine has good protection, especially in the elderly population.Conclusion:The majority of farmers to master the basic knowledge of influenza prevention and control, the farmers lower rates of influenza vaccination, nearly three consecutive influenza vaccine inoculation rate of less than1%, most farmers preferred a cold after diagnosis and treatment of the nearest community health service stations. Influenza vaccination in the elderly population over the age of60can generate higher economic benefits, per capita annual medical cost savings of about100RMB, Annual influenza-like illness per capita health care cost savings of about92RMB. suggested by if the new rural cooperative medical system pay30%of the cost of rural elderly Influenza vaccination, will be charged to better economic and social benefits.
