Objective::By the representative of the eight City Shandong Province, thecounty-level Chinese medicine hospital ischemic stroke patients hospitalized in2006wereinvestigated retrospectively to understand the Chinese medical units in our provinceischemic stroke disease epidemiology, treatment and efficacy.The actual situation of thehealth economics indicators, provide a reference for the development of the provincesituation in the province of ischemic stroke TCM treatment programs.Methods: This study adopts a multi-center retrospective survey methods, respectively,from the medical records room, extract the medical records of patients with ischemicstroke hospitalized in2006, this unit met the inclusion criteria, truthfully and objectivelyfill in previous stroke patients hospitalized questionnaire to carry out Statistical Analysis.Results:1. In a general situation:392cases of investigation records, the male of210cases,182cases of female, male to female ratio of1.15:1; patients age35-90years, mean age64.18±11.30years.2.Complications: a previous history of stroke, accounting for13.52%; of hypertensionaccounted for57.14%of coronary heart disease, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, respectively,accounting for20.15%,14.29%,13.27%.3.Course:3hours of onset of38cases of197cases accounted for9.69%, theincidence of one day accounted for50.26%incidence within three days accounted for73.21%in287cases,327cases (83.42%) within one week of onset.4. Hospital stay: a minimum of three days, the longest81days hospitalization within28days of346cases, accounting for88.2%of investigation cases,46cases of less than7 days, accounting for11.7%of the cases of the survey, the average hospital stay was17.9±10.6days.5. Treatment: treatment of patients with western medicine and Chinese medicine,acupuncture, rehabilitation.6. Health economic evaluation: total hospital costs: the least expensive of478.75yuan,up to76706.85yuan, the average cost of6262.61±6229.38. Western medicine costs: theleast expensive of157.66yuan, up to53950.34yuan, the average cost of3776.08±4258.28. Chinese medicine costs: to spend up to6766.5yuan,3.56yuan at least, theaverage cost of431.80±901.07.yuan.Conclusion:1. Acute ischemic stroke is more common in the elderly, the incidence of male slightlyhigher than the female.2. Complications of acute ischemic stroke more common in a variety of diseases as awhole.3. Traditional Chinese medicine usage for acute ischemic stroke: the injection ofproprietary Chinese medicines used in the frequency for the blood circulation category,accounting for84.94%; followed by Qingrejiedu classes and Yiqihuoxue of class, each7.39%,6.25%; proprietary Chinese medicines of oralfrequency of the most Huoxuetongluoclass, accounting for60.40%; followed by for Yiqihuoxue class, and Pingganxifeng class,each accounted for30.87%,8.73%, up to coincide with the syndrome type stroke phlegmcard; traditional Chinese medicinethe decoction of the low utilization rate prompted TCMdecoction treatment is not taken seriously enough..4. Expensive cost of treatment of acute ischemic stroke, patients with heavy economicburden, and utilization of Chinese medicine is relatively low, Chinese medicine in thetreatment of stroke has not yet attracted enough attention, while Chinese medicinetreatment and effective treatment using enough.the treatment is not standardized, and doesnot reflect the role of Chinese medicine in the treatment of stroke. Therefore, furtherresearch is needed to develop the Chinese medicine treatment options in line with thesituation in the province of our province, and has important practical value and practicalsignificance.
