[Background]Tantalum and niobium materials resistant to corrosion, the production of adult workers to the articular surface and tantalum rod in a foreign country, widely used in the femoral head necrosis treatment and joint replacement, while the modern study found, appropriate porosity of tantalum and niobium materials with bone-like mechanical strength and modulus of elasticity, and biocompat ibility better in the treatment of bone injury, substantial clinical value.[Objective]Hormone stimulation by the compound of Epimedium, observed a variety of ways to the naked eye, microscopic pathology evaluation, intended to further explore and demonstrate biocompatibility of porous tantalum and niobium and their bone binding capacity, bone conduction capacity; combined with the current femoral head necrosis in the clinical treatment and research, and provide the basis for future implantation in the treatment of new composite materials and guidance. [Methods]Selected36adult New Zealand white rabbits, greater than in the rabbit femur segment outside diameter1/2(about0.4-1cm) drilling, preparation of a bone defect model and divided into three groups, experimental group with long irregular porous tantalum and niobium/prostitution sheep hopane prime composite implant materials implanted in the control group simply porous tantalum and niobium, and the blank group only punch implant materials. Postoperative weeks4,8,12, by the naked eye, X-rays, pathology, evaluation of tissue morphology and inverted cell microscope, measure the effects of osteoblasts and bone binding capacity.[Results]By pathological examination, X-ray film and histomorphometric observations indicate that the experimental group, control the composition of bone effects are normal, less material surrounded by inflammatory cells;, peripheral vascular synovial tissue implanted in the material, the growth rate compared with blank group, more secretion of bone matrix forming around the materials of the experimental group and control group, and see a large number of osteoblast growth by cell counting, statistical analysis, P<0.05, statistically significant; material porosity within the experimental group, the bone tissue growth and adhesion to the surrounding tissue, with good bone binding capacity than the control group. Epimedium prime synergistic stimulation, the porous tantalum and niobium material10Zhouhou Ji to complete the repair, and the blank group to complete the repair time was significantly longer (12-14weeks).[Conclusion]Epimedium porous tantalum and niobium composite elements implanted materials biocompatibility, not easily lead to the immunological reaction, can stimulate the induction of material surrounding periosteum, blood vessels and other tissue growth, and to a certain extent induced tissue ingrowth pores, can significantly shorten the bone tissue repair after injury, has good biocompatibility and good bone induction and bone binding.
