| Objective: To study the pathology, imaging, clinical characteristics and prognosis ofthe cerebral amyioid angiopathy hemorrhage(CAAH) in Xin Jiang area. Methods:During the period of May2009and Dec2011,151patients admitted to six hospitalthroughtout Xin jiang for acute SICH, including97male and54female, the mean age is(57.48±10.51)years old, Han81cases,62cases in Uighur and6cases are Kirghiz. otherethics are2cases. The patients were suffered from SICH proved by computedtomography scan(CT), Emergent craniotomies for hemorrhage evacuation wereperformed for these patients within72h after hemorrhage, meanwhile, brain tissue of thecortex was also obtained, through HE dyed, Congo Red stained in polarized lightmicroscope were followed and Beta-amyloid protein immunohistochemical detection ofcerebral Amyloid to verify the existence of CAA. In this way, we can Preliminary get theproportion of CAAH and analyze the differences of age, ethnic, gender between the twogroups, also we can study the pathology, imaging, clinical characteristics and prognosisof CAAH. Results:18out of the151cases are identified as CAA positive, and the totaIratio is11.92%, the average age of CAAH group is higher than Non-CAAH group, the18cases included Han10cases,7cases are in Uighur, Kirghiz1case. The ratio of male:female is5:4of the cerebral amyloid angiopathy hemorrhage, The ratio of Han: Uygur:Kirghiz is10:7:1; CAAH are located in lobar, rather than Non-CAAH group arecommonly in the basal ganglia. the average age of CAAH group is higher than theNon-CAAH group, the pathology conditions are11cases are congophilic angiopathy,1expressed as plaque-like angiopathy,7cases are mixed. Conclusion: we come to theconclusion that11.92%of the surgically treated SICH events might be closely associatedwith CAA, no differences between the ethics and sex in the two groups. the vessel wall ofCAA become thickening and the normal vessel structure disappears, β-amyloid protein mainly deposited in small arteries, middle and outer membrane, in some patients,β-amyloid deposited in the brain. |
